It was nice coming out of a new Tim Burton movie and not being completely disappointed. Big Eyes is a good movie. It’s not excellent, it’s not groundbreaking, it’s just a good story, well told through good directing and very good acting. Amy Adams has a terrific sense of innocence throughout while Burton shows Waltz’s character slowly go down a deep dark path of manipulation and celebrity.

Big Eyes is worth watching. And while it seems like an open and shut case of who’s at fault of this whole story, Burton does a very good job at making the audience question how culpable one is for letting something like this happen to them.

God Bless America
