Claire’s Knee is a strange exploration of consensual pedophilia and just chasing young girls in a time (the seventies) and place (the French Coast) where things are somewhat acceptable. The story is…interesting in a bizarre and uncomfortable way and the acting is really great, especially from Jean-Claude Brialy, and I was fully engrossed the entire movie. At some point you’re not sure if you’re being just as creepy as the protagonist by watching this film.

Laurence de Monaghan is incredibly incredibly beautiful and I get why Jerome goes ape-shit for her knee.
