Valentín is just a great little film about a boy trying to live a happy life under unhappy circumstances. Rodrigo Noya is adorable and plays the cross-eyed boy for which the movie is named.

The movie starts with Valentín inviting us into his world and sharing his aspirations of becoming an astronaut and his struggles with us in a genuine way. He lets us in on his relationships with his grandmother and parents and shows us that relationships, whether it be between father and son or mother and son are never black and white but gray.

Valentín is a quick and enjoyable watch even when things get rough for the young boy. This movie is worth a viewing.
